This person must possess a demonstrated ability to creatively find ways to work with channel partners to increase revenue while adapting to changing market conditions and customer needs.
If you enjoy the challenge and excitement of a fast-growing startup, you will love this job. We are currently searching for a Wholesale Manager based in our Manhattan Office.
Research market to acquire new clients (through store visits, phone calls, trade shows, e-mail, marketing, and special events.)
Possess an understanding of all wholesale channels including, but not limited to Boutiques, Mid-size Retailers, Coffee Shops, Spas, Beauty Shops, etc.
Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts for each partner - schedule regular site visits and identify opportunities to create new revenue within existing accounts
Manage new and existing accounts throughout the entire life cycle: write sales orders, acquire signed terms agreements, enter data, and manage payment.
Analyze sales and determine strategies to maximize sales growth
Manage meeting preparation and selling/merchandising materials
Present the curation of products, help build customized assortments for each partner
Confirm purchase orders, track shipping for each account, build partner’s relationship
Oversee merchandise need and ensure products presentation is done appropriately in partner’s stores
Regular market visits to maintain brand awareness, merchandise selection, gather competitive intelligence and Make recommendations for new products and channel partners.
Bachelor Degree Preferred
2+ years' wholesale sales experience preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment
Ability to drive results
Influence and Persuasion to sell ideas, gain support and buy-in.
Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to tailor communication and presentation style to effectively influence and persuade others to make commitments at all levels.
Experience in selling educational and/or research content products and services through channel partners, international distributors, and third-party providers.
Physical requirements: This position requires travel and the ability to drive and fly to destinations as required.
