FAQ's About CBD

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of 113 cannabinoids found in the hemp plant, and is the primary cannabinoid found in ingestible and topical products carried on Standard Dose. To learn more about CBD, please visit our editorial page, The Drop.

CBD has the potential to naturally aid in nervous system homeostasis, increase focus and clarity, reduce stress and anxiety, aid sleep, aid in weight loss, manage aches and pains from conditions like IBS and arthritis, and reduce inflammation.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), one of the cannabis plant’s most predominant cannabinoids alongside CBD and marijuana’s primary cannabinoid, may be present in products at the legal amount of .3% or less. Each product on Standard Dose states the amount of THC found in its formula, allowing you to shop and consume confidently.

While CBD is psychoactive, meaning it affects our central nervous system, it does not produce the same mind-altering psychotropic effects as its cousin cannabinoid, THC.

We recommend starting with a low dose and increasing the number of milligrams of CBD until you find your standard dose. Please always refer to the dosage instructions for each product and consult your medical care provider when necessary.

CBD will affect each individual differently depending on factors like our unique body chemistry, frequency of use, and amount of CBD or dosage. The effects of CBD can be felt more immediately when ingested sublingually and are best consumed alongside a fat carrier, like MCT oil.

MCT, or medium chain triglycerides, are medium chain fatty acids found in coconut oil. MCT oil is a highly concentrated formula of these triglycerides that, when paired with CBD, may help improve metabolism.

The Standard Dose Tincture was created with 1000mg CBD isolate and MCT oil, which is tasteless and odorless, allowing you to consume singularly or alongside your favorite food or beverage.

All products featured on Standard Dose have been tested by the manufacturers through third party labs, and test results have been verified by said labs and the Standard Dose team.

To further ensure quality of formulas, Standard Dose is in the process of conducting secondary lab tests for products featured on the platform.

The passing of the 2018 United States Farm Bill allows US farmers to legally grow and sell industrial hemp. With this, we can now study, manufacture, sell, and consume products created with industrial hemp and less than .3% THC.
